Join the Go Green and embark on an evergreen journey of exploration and learning! With ‘Sustainability’ as our theme, we’ll plant trees, restore greenery, and fight climate change! Gain insight from botanists and environmentalists.

Application Requirements

  • Open to all school students.
  • Students may participate in multiple events under Go Green!.
  • Each team is required to have one adult advisor, preferably their teacher, aged 21 or older.
  • Some events allow individual participation, while others require teams (please refer to Submission Requirements below for more!). 
  • Contact information, including email addresses, must be provided for all participants and advisors.

These activities focus on hands-on learning and practical knowledge:

Introductory Session

A guided session led by a botanist or naturalist on how to plant seeds and trees 

Plantation Activity

Hands-on experience where students plant trees and reconnect with nature.

 Organic Farming Session

Interactive workshop led by organic farmers.

Living Canvas (Plant Arrangement Competition)

  • Participants must create an artistic plant arrangement using various containers, decorative elements, and plant combinations.
  • A short description explaining the concept and inspiration behind their arrangement needs to be submitted. 

Whispers of Green (Photography Competition):

  • Participants must submit 1-3 original photographs capturing the beauty of plants and nature.
  • A brief artist statement (150-200 words) explaining the vision, composition, and techniques used.  

Prize For Photography Competition

Reflection Session (Critical Thinking & Discussion Activity):

  • Participants are expected to, in groups of 4, do a brief reflection on their experience in the event.
  • They must propose local solutions to environmental issues based on their learnings.
