What's this event all about?

It's an exciting blend of an interior design competition and an immersive bootcamp, set within the inspiring atmosphere of an arts retreat in Kashmir. You'll learn, design, create a prototype, and compete with fellow design enthusiasts.

What does "generate a whole prototype" entail?

Throughout the bootcamp, you'll work towards developing a comprehensive interior design concept and creating a physical & digital prototype to showcase your vision. This could involve models, material boards, 3D renderings, or a combination.

What is the language of instruction during the bootcamp?

The primary language of instruction will be English.

What should my portfolio/design concept submission include?

We're looking for evidence of your design thinking, creativity, spatial reasoning, and understanding of interior design principles. This could include sketches, floor plans, mood boards, 3D visualizations, and a brief description of your design approach. Specific requirements will be outlined in the application guidelines.

Will the prototypes created during the bootcamp be exhibited?

Absolutely! The prototypes developed during the bootcamp will be showcased in a final exhibition as part of the competition. It will be exhibited at the retreat and then returned to you. Feel free to use it in your portfolio, CV, and college applications!

Who will be leading the bootcamp sessions?

We've invited experienced and accomplished interior designers and specialists in relevant fields to lead the workshops and provide mentorship. Their profiles will be shared on our website & social media closer to the date.

Will there be opportunities for feedback and critiques on our designs?

Yes, absolutely! Our instructors will provide regular feedback and guidance on your designs throughout the bootcamp. You'll also benefit from peer critiques.

Do I need to bring my own design software, material or tools?

Nope, no need to lug your supplies! Everything you'll need for the bootcamp will be provided for you at the retreat. We've got you covered!
