Application Requirements

  • Open to all students with an interest in coding, web development, and game design.
  • Each team is required to have one adult advisor, preferably their teacher, aged 21 or older.
  • Contact information, including email addresses, must be provided for all team members and the adult advisor.
  • All material submitted should be within the allotted time and before the deadline. This should also be accessible by our team.  
  • Team & Individual Participation:
    • Web Design Competition: Solo participation.
    • Game Design Competition: Teams of minimum 2 and maximum 4 students.

Web Design Competition:

  • Solo competition with a limited time to design and develop a website.
  • Compete in one of four fields:
    • Backend Development: Server-side logic, database, and infrastructure.
    • Frontend Development: User interface and experience on the client side.
    • UI/UX Design: Aesthetic appeal and user-friendly navigation.
    • Full Stack Development: Combining both frontend and backend.
  • Judging Criteria:
    • Functionality, creativity, responsiveness, and usability.
    • Clean code structure and efficient programming.

Game Design Competition:

  • Teams of minimum 2 and maximum 4 students work together to design a basic game prototype
  • Create a playable demo or a conceptual pitch with design elements.
  • Integrate core game mechanics, storytelling, and interactivity.
  • Judging Criteria:
    • Innovation, mechanics, visual appeal, and user experience.

Website Development & Future of Coding Workshop:

  • Lecture & interactive workshop by a Guest Speaker (Software Engineer, Startup Founder, or AI Specialist).
  • Topics:
    • Basics of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
    • Best practices in UI/UX design for modern websites.
    • AI integration in website design and future trends.

Game Design & Development Workshop:

  • Interactive session with Game Designers, Engineers, and Developers.
  • Topics:
    • The future of gaming & entertainment : trends, AI, and virtual reality.
    • Basics of game development : coding, graphics, and mechanics.
    • How to turn game ideas into commercial projects. 

Prizes

Finale:

  • Participants in competitions will submit their work for evaluation by a panel of judges.
  • Participants in workshops can engage in Q&A sessions and hands-on coding exercises.
