What's this event all about?

It's an immersive Landscape Designing Competition & Bootcamp set amidst the inspiring natural beauty of an arts retreat in Kashmir! You'll learn the principles of landscape architecture, design a real-world location, create a prototype, and compete for fantastic opportunities.

What will we be doing?

You'll be involved in the entire landscape design process, from site analysis and conceptualization to developing detailed plans, creating a prototype, and presenting your vision.

What design philosophies will we explore?

The program emphasizes blending ecological sensitivity with creative design, integrating cultural crafts, and enhancing the beauty and functionality of diverse environments. We'll explore reimagining spaces from ancient gardens to sustainable havens.

What is the language of instruction during the bootcamp?

The primary language of instruction will be English.

What kind of prototype is expected?

The prototype needs to be a physical model and a detailed 3D digital model, effectively showcasing the key spatial relationships, material choices, and design features of your proposal.

Who will be our instructors?

We've invited experienced landscape architects, urban designers, environmental planners, horticulture experts, and professionals involved in cultural crafts to guide you through the bootcamp and share their expertise. Their profiles will be shared on our website & social media closer to the date.

Do I need to bring my own design software or tools?

No need to pack your design software or tools – everything you'll need for the bootcamp will be provided at the arts retreat! However, please do bring your own laptop or tablet, as you'll be using your personal devices for the digital aspects of the design process.

Will we receive feedback on our designs and prototypes?

Absolutely! Instructors will provide regular feedback and guidance on your design development and prototype creation throughout the bootcamp. There will also be opportunities for peer review.
